June 19th, 2018 USA- Health Insurance data shows an increase in depression among Americans, specifically young adults. Rates vary by state, Hawaii has the lowest rate of depression at 2.1 percent, while Rhode Island has the highest rate of depression at 6.4 percent. These findings were based on people who are covered with a commercial health insurance, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, so they cant be fully represented.
