NEW TECHNOLOGY

Procad Manufacturing, our technology division, is committed to producing the highest quality products with the most advanced new technologies available. We have invested in CAD/CAM digital dentistry solutions to produce increased efficiency and consistent standardized quality.

Find out more about the benefits of the CAD/CAM manufacturing processes below.

DIGITAL MANUFACTURING PROCESS OVERVIEW

Step 1 - Doctor sends Impression

The impression is sent to our laboratory and model work is prepared as usual
or
Use the Cadent iTero™ 3D Scanner to create a digital impression  (skip to step 3!)

Step 2 - Model is Scanned

Model is scanned by our 3D optical scanner and the digital file is created.

The scanner utilizes a 2 camera and 3 axis motion system to scan tooth and bite geometry.

Step 3 - Restoration is CAD Designed

The digital file or 3D scan is used to design prosthesis with CAD software.

The software allows our technicians to find margins, build up substructures for porcelain support, build dental structures, and accurately determine interproximal contacts and occlusion.

Step 4 - Restoration is Milled or Printed

The CAD files are sent to a precision milling or printing machine to be manufactured.

The mill uses a high precision spindle which follows a CAD tool-path to shape the wax or porcelain and create the tooth framework or copings. The printing machine layers resins or wax to create a 3D model from the digital design  file.

Step 5 - Completed Restoration

The dental technician fits restoration and completes the ceramics. Case is shipped to doctor.
