Group Insurance

The “Protec Benefit Plan” is the extensive Health Insurance Program with coverage as follows:

  • B.C. Medical Services Plan

  • Employee Life Insurance

  • Employee Accidental Death and Dismemberment Benefit

  • Employee Long Term Disability Benefit

  • Extended Health Care for the employee and dependents including prescription drug expenses, nursing care, medical equipment, benefits toward paramedical practitioners (psychologist, chiropractor, optometrist, naturopath, masseur, physiotherapist, acupuncturist, podiatrist etc.), orthopaedic supplies, outside province eligible expenses, and voyage assistance (outside Canada).

  • Dental Plan for employee and dependents which covers many facets in basic and preventative dental treatment, and expenses toward endodontics, periodontics, restorative surgery and oral surgery.


Vacation

As per BC Labour Standards, employees are eligible for 2 weeks paid vacation and 3 weeks vacation after 5 years of employment.
